Career Based Intervention
All students must be employed to receive work elective credits.
Freshman and Sophomores
- To earn an additional CBI elective credit, each student is required to secure employment for the CBI course. CBI-A students may work in the school cafeteria during study halls to fulfill this requirement. CBI-A students may substitute volunteer hours for working at the school. Volunteer hours must be documented and consist of 20 hours per month.
This is not a requirement to attend CBI, it is only a requirement to earn the additional elective credit.
Juniors and Seniors
- Each student is required to secure employment for the CBI course. CBI-E students must secure employment outside of the school setting. I will assist any student in securing employment. Part of the grade for the course is based on the employment aspect. If you cannot secure employment or are not willing to work you will not pass this course. Any student who is actively seeking employment and using my help to do so will not be penalized for not working. Part of the learning experience of CBI is looking for work.
- CBI-E students must work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
If you have secured employment with the school you will be paid as follows:
Freshmen will be paid at the rate of $2.00 per hour.
Sophomores will be paid at the rate of $2.10 per hour.
Juniors and Seniors will be paid at the rate of $2.25 per hour.
You must have direct deposit to receive pay. Direct deposit forms can be gotten from Mr. Davis.
